【专利战持续升级:三星反诉华为 要求禁售荣耀、Mate8等机型】South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics sued China's Huawei and a department store for patent infringements in a Beijing court, claiming 161 million yuan (about 24 million US dollars) in compensation. Samsung also asked the two defendants to stop the production and sales of Huawei's products, including Mate 8 and Honor smartphones, according to the court. The move is seen by many as an escalation of legal conflict between smartphone rivals. In May,the Chinese tech giant sued Samsung in the US and China, accusing its rival of infringement on patents for fourth-generation (4G) cellular communication technology, operating systems and user interface software. Analysts say neither companies were likely motivated by monetary compensation from the legal battle, and they are expected to eventually reach a deal such as a cross-licensing agreement.
