This is the day my brothers and I moved on from playing on crates in an alley nailed to a light pole to an actual backboard, rim and a net. Our Pops surprised us and put up this rim in our backyard! (the garage is dirty from the balls, our foot and our bodies slamming against it). This as you see from our facial expression one of thee best days of our young lives. You couldn’t tell us nothing. That was our Madison square garden, our United Center, our Boston garden. On that rim my dreams became even more attainable. Thanks Pops for giving us something as simple as a wooden backboard (taken from someone’s trash can) and buying a rim and a net. You risked the value of your house so your kids could have it ALL!
