First held in 1986, the event is described as “an experiment in community art, radical self-expression and radical self-reliance.” Every year, tens of thousands of participants from around the world come Burning Man and build a temporary “interactive metropolis” by creating various sculptures, buildings and other unique structures that, this year, have the theme of “I, Robot”.
