【@故宫博物院 93岁生辰送自己一份大礼：故宫北院区项目正式启动 文物展量或超紫禁城[憧憬]】The Palace Museum, one of the world's most visited tourist attractions, launched an expansion project on Wednesday in Beijing's Haidian District. The expansion is the core part of a major cultural renovation program with an objective to enhance the Palace Museum's capacity in exhibiting and conserving cultural heritage. The project, literally known as the "north section project of the Palace Museum,” will cover an area of 62 hectares. Construction of the new area is expected to complete in 2020 when the Palace Museum celebrates its 600th anniversary.
