Every April, the Nanshan Pop Music Festival has become a highly anticipated urban music event not only in China but around the world. Music fans gather from all directions to release themselves and express themselves in music.

The 2019 Nanshan Pop Music Festival come as scheduled from April 13th to 21th with the theme of "Enjoy Pop, Enjoy Youth" (乐流行，乐青春).

The famous composer and conductor Tan Dun 谭盾 joined hands with Chinese pop singer Jane Zhang 张靓颖 and Chinese rock band Hanggai Band 杭盖乐队 to perform during the opening ceremony called 《Girl's Book Night/女書之夜》at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. The night will start on April 7h at 7,30 pm. The ceremony will last for 2 days, 7th-8th of April.

They will be attended to the Festival so many prestigious singers and musicians like Eldbjørg Hemsing, whom recently recorded her violin's sound for the Tan Dun's album "Fire Ritual - violin concertos", Mira Farkas, sublime Hungarian harp, Stuart Thomson, the first double bass in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra with his 'Italian' as he calls his bass, a musical instrument 300 years old, and Dan Zhu 朱丹, widely recognized as one of the finest Chinese violins on the international stage.

The Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra will make its debut, bringing in their own popular, classical, innovative and other musical elements.

As a music festival for all people, the music will be heard throughout the Nanshan District of Shenzhen.

The festival also set up bases in Shenzhen Art Education of primary and secondary schools of Nanshan and in the Shenzhen University City.
