It used to be a floppy-eared bunny called Oswald who wasn't meant to live long. A few makeovers later, Mickey Mouse was born, making his debut in New York in a 1928 short film called "Steamboat Willy." The cute mouse has since entered homes – and hearts – around the world, entertaining kids and adults with his humorous stories, big ears and wide smile.
