Over the years, its top speed has increased from 35 km/h to 350 km/h. It shows the development of the country's railway system as well as the economy. The 174-kilometer-long high-speed railway connects China’s capital city with Zhangjiakou City, the co-host of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The journey between the two cities has been cut from more than 3 hours to just 47 minutes.
