woke up on the tour bus this morning to ed in his little underpants running up and down shouting that heat waves is the Billboard Hot 100 #1 record. Absolutely can’t believe it. I’ve said it before, and will say it again, but i am incredibly thankful to everyone who supported us and believed in this song and this album. there were many moments when i thought this album wasn’t going to see the light of day…when joe got so badly hurt we didn’t know if he’d make it…when the pandemic hit just as we were about to put the song out…when we lost all of our touring and i thought this band wouldn’t be able to survive without it. it was scary. but the music survived because of the support from all of you. be it sharing the music, making art about the music, liking a post, sending letters, making a meme….it all meant the world over the last couple years and it got us here…somewhere we never even dreamt was possible. thank you to the team who worked tirelessly thru the pandemic on this it wouldn’t have been possible without them. you know who you are. love to everyone and thank you again for making this happen. this belongs to everyone. ❤️
