这是敦刻尔克的海滩，当年英法撤退的海滩。
1940年5月26日的此地，海岸上飘满了渔船商船休闲船，人民把一切能载人的工具都带来了，人民保全了欧洲战线最后的有生力量。
今天的和平，号角从这里吹响。
70多年后的今天人们似乎忘了，先人们为了一日和平，牺牲过奉献过多少。
你看着唱着歌的小浪和最后一丝夕阳。

We shall not flag nor fail.
We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France and on the seas and oceans;
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air.

We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be;
we shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets and on the hills.

我热爱他的博学，他的思想和他笔下的一切。
这段举世闻名的敦刻尔克大撤退演讲，我在上课时认真学过，老师说丘吉尔刻意全部使用盎格鲁撒克逊人的英语单词，古英语单词，因为它们简单，干脆，刚烈，最能激起盎格鲁撒克逊血液深处的热量。

我当时觉得有点扯，不过因为这段话实在写得太好了，别说盎格鲁撒克逊的热血，我的热血都被激发了。
就读着读着，不知不觉背了下来。

居然十多年后依然每一个字都记得。

站在这海岸边，对着浪歌和天空中最后一道光，一字一字诵着。
