Welcome home my babies!
It all started in 1997. I never thought that I would ever take on the path of music. But when I did, I never looked back. 25 years later,, amidst the days of quarantine where one starts to recalibrate all things in life, early this year,, a yearning inside beckoned me to go back in time to where it all started. That rebellious carefree girl who picked up a guitar after being told by a fellow musician she knew nothing about music and wrote her first English album “Bored’ just to prove herself. That girl who spoke English, ineloquent in Chinese…little did she imagine that her first English album would open another door for her to step into the Chinese music world.
I’ve always deemed ‘Bored’, ‘Luck’ and ‘Jupiter’ as my music career foundation. Being aware that they were created during the CD era, I really wanted to bring them forth into the present digital world where they can flourish and continue to live on. I am beyond ecstatic that I can finally share this music with my fans who mostly know me through my Chinese music.
And as a form of reminder, they serve to connect my past present and future. I can look back at the gratifying journey I’ve traveled, take a moment to celebrate and stride forth into the great wide unknown future!
