不远处的CC以前是个工厂，厂房里现在容纳了许多艺术工作室和文化场所。这里的DD既是个时髦的餐馆，也是业余戏曲爱好者聚会的场所。

Nearby, CC, a former factory complex, houses a hive of artists' studios and cultural venues. It is also home to DD, a funky restaurant and a hangout spot for local opera amateurs.

factory complex 工厂建筑群，complex做名词时等于compound（建筑群）；

house sth. 容纳……，可以用 be home to 替换；

studio等于上文中的atelier，替换词；

a hive of的常见搭配：a hive of activity/industry

意思是：a place where everyone is very busy 一片繁忙的景象,繁忙之地；忙碌的场所 ；
