以清洁房屋为生的单身母亲罗丝高中时也曾是响当当的风云人物，只是当年的男友如今娶了别人，如今罗丝却与身为警察的迈克保持着情人关系，不过也是从迈克这里得知清扫犯罪现场是笔不错的买卖。

于是罗丝与失业的妹妹诺拉组成“阳光清洗公司”，专门清洁犯罪、事故现场。可公司起步没多久，就因诺拉的失误造成了无可挽回的损失，罗丝一气之下与妹妹一拍两散……
