In addition to attending the recent AWP Book Fair, I also attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Copper Canyon Press, the publisher of all my poetry translations. One of the board members owns Seattle's Space Needle and donated the space for the celebration. I've included photos of the view looking down and across Puget Sound, and of Michael Wiegers, the executive director of the press, talking, with me and the poet and translator John Balaban. Among the many friends who joined the party was Susan Liu and her husband Ang Gao and my friends Walter Parsons and Michelle Hassan.
