Detailed information was provided to the Premier League, at its request, to “fully evidence” the club’s proposed ownership structure, one insider said.
Clearlake and Boehly then confirmed that PIF formed “no part” of the ownership structure and further reassurances were provided to the league that PIF “would not, and could not”, be an investor in the future.
