Group Therapy: Experiment Exploration (Sensory)
Activity: Oil and Water Colours Experiment

Today the children experimented with oil and coloured water to learn how water and oil do not mix. The children took turns to take two scoops of water into small cup. Then, they added some food colouring into the cup and mixed it. Next, they took turns to pour baby oil into the glass jar! Lastly, they used the dropper to take some coloured water and drop into the baby oil filled glass jar! Then they watched the bubbles form!

Max was really excited when he saw the food colouring and water. He was very proactive today and required minimal prompts except for prompts to wait for his turn. He was able to independently scoop the water from big cup to small cup. He practice using the dropper to squeeze when he puts it in and let go to suck in the water, then squeeze again to let out the water into the baby oil. He reacted excitedly when he saw the coloured bubbles form. He had fun!
