Just had the best weekend ever reunited with some old family friends.
Singing and drinking till 4am in the morning after all kids are asleep then back on mommy duties 2 hours later, prettt hardcore [笑cry]
昨天在ins上记录的一段话,也分享过来:
Ever since Immy turned 9 I feel like she’s becoming more and more like a teenager (even though she’s still 4 years away from being a teen!), but I’m definitely finding myself struggling with her attitude every now and then, however that’s totally not her fault and I have to keep reminding myself that.
On way to school this morning I had a little chat with her about “being grateful”. I told her how important it is to be grateful to everything and everyone around her, always show appreciation to people that’s being helpful or kind to her, even if they’re just doing their job and getting paid for serving you.
We all tell our children it’s important to be polite and have good manners, and so far I think we’ve done a great job with both Immy and Zadie (definitely the politest 2yo ever 😂), but this morning I said to Immy, “You’re old enough to understand that saying ‘please and thank you’ to people is not just about being polite, but it’s showing your appreciation, it’s about being grateful. And you have to say that from the bottom of your heart. Always remember that.”
This is not just something I’d like to remind my children but also to myself. It took me many years to understand how important it is to be grateful to everyone and everything in this world, no matter how close they are or just strangers. I should also feel grateful to all my kids even when the times they’re being a pain because they’re allowing me to grow with them, and they’ve taught me so much more than I could ever expect.
Don’t take advantage of anything. And I do believe that will genuinely make the world a better place.
Peace. Love to you all [心][心][心][心][心]
