Braille Chess: Touch, Hear, Engage.
Dot Chess by hyunjaenoh_design adapts traditional chess for visually impaired and sighted players through tactile and auditory features. Each chess piece is marked with braille, enabling visually impaired players to identify them by touch. Additionally, the board and pieces are designed to audibly announce moves and positions, ensuring players can follow the game’s progress without visual cues. This direct approach aims to make chess fully accessible, encouraging interaction and engagement among players of varying visual abilities, and directly addressing the issue of social isolation among the visually impaired by providing an equal playing field for everyone.
