Hello, we are the Chinese fans of ILLIT.
Recently, the music video of 'Magnetic' has caused widespread pedophilic controversy on the Chinese internet, this has even gotten onto the Chinese Weibo hot search bar and thus entered the public eyes, the video that spoke about this issue on Bilibili has also reached 1 million views. This pedophilic controversy not only negatively affected the image of ILLIT, but it has also caused troubles for the fans and us feeling anxious.
We should not ignore the influences of ILLIT's image and behavior as idols on teenagers. We wish to understand the production concept behind the music video, we kindly ask the company to disclose those concepts in order to protect the rights of ILLIT and their fans.
We hope HYBE can respond to this controversy and disclose the production concept of 'Magnetic''s music video as soon as possible. By doing so, this calms the concerns of the fans and contribute to create a healthy and positive image for the underaged idols. We look forward for HYBE's response on this matter and we ask you to take action as soon as possible to better protect ILLIT from this controversy.
