看书读到这一段，卡尔·萨根（天文学家，探索金星项目的设计者，大科普作家）写的，每一句都击中了现在，尤其这一段是他1995年写的（30年前）：

他是这么说的：

“我对我的孩子或孙子时代的美国有一种不好的预感：

--到那个时候，美国是服务业和信息经济；

--当几乎所有的制造业都转移到其他国家时；

--当令人敬畏的技术力量掌握在极少数人手中时，甚至没有一个代表公众利益的人能够理解这些问题；

--我们的批判能力下降，无法区分什么是好的，什么是真的，我们几乎没有察觉地滑回迷信之中；

--美国低俗化，会最明显地体现在影响力巨大的媒体中，实质性内容会越来越少，代之而起的会有很多30秒片段，甚至缩短到10秒或更短的片段(也就是内容低俗化，大概意思)。

令人惊叹，这不能不说有些人的智慧，真的能穿越时空，这30年前的话，完美的描画了当前的时代.....

这是卡尔·萨根写的《魔鬼出没的世界》中的一段，在这本书中他喷了很多伪科学（美国人信啥的都有，比中国人科学精神的普及差很多，毕竟还有那么多人在说盖茨弄疫苗是要搞灭绝人类计划）。但同时在这本书中，他可以说以广博的知识，犀利的思想，把他思考的一些底层规律揭示的入木三分，鞭辟入里。

when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries;

如果能读下来，应该会有很多收获，因为这算是大科学家卡尔·萨根对世界规则的总结了，真正的牛人的思想，会描画这个世界不变的部分，穿透迷雾，价值无法估量。
