Jackson YEE is widely recognised as one of the most promising young actors in China., He made his debut in 2019's Oscar-nominated film Better Days for which he was awarded Best New Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards. The following year, his performance in A Little Red Flower resulted in a Best Actor nomination at the Golden Rooster Awards, a feat he repeated in 2022 with Nice View. In 2021, his film The Battle at Lake Changin, co-directed by Chen Kai-ge, Dante Lam and Tsui Hark set new Chinese box office records. In 2023, Yee played the lead role in Zhang Yi-mou's Full River Red.
