#中国—东盟中心简讯# 【Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn Visits the ACC 史忠俊会见东盟秘书长高金洪】

On 4 July 2024, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) hosted the visiting Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn of ASEAN and his delegation at the ACC.
7月4日，中国—东盟中心秘书长史忠俊大使在中心会见东盟秘书长高金洪。

Shi Zhongjun warmly welcomed Dr. Kao to the ACC again and expressed appreciation to the ASEAN Secretariat for its sustained and strong support. Shi stressed that the ACC, as the only inter-governmental organization co-established by ASEAN Member States (AMS) and China, stays committed to its bridging role in advancing practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN and China. With the full implementation of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and the progressing negotiation on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) Version 3.0, ASEAN and China shall capitalize on the fruitful achievements and enormous opportunities to generate fresh momentum in economic cooperation and trade between both sides. Under the framework of the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges in 2024, both sides should work closely to promote amity and enhance understanding among the peoples on both sides. The ACC stands ready to support and participate in ASEAN activities and mechanism meetings in a more vigorous manner, keep exploring new areas of practical cooperation, raise the public awareness of ASEAN in China, so as to better serve the development of ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
史忠俊欢迎高再次到访中心，感谢东盟秘书处对中心工作的长期大力支持。史强调，中心作为中国东盟共同成立的唯一政府间国际组织，致力发挥好桥梁纽带作用，持续推进双方务实合作和民心相通。当前，区域全面经济伙伴关系协定（RCEP）全面实施，中国东盟自贸协定3.0版谈判稳步推进，双方应抓住机遇，在既有基础上激发经贸合作动能。今年还是中国东盟人文交流年，双方应密切合作，促进人文交往，夯实民意基础。中心愿积极支持和更多参与东盟机制性活动，不断拓展中国东盟务实合作领域，稳步提升中国民众对东盟认知度，为中国东盟全面战略伙伴关系发展贡献力量。

Kao Kim Hourn commended the ACC for its remarkable contribution to the advancement of ASEAN-China relations since its establishment in 2011. He stressed that China always stays as a top priority for ASEAN in terms of expanding its external relations. Thanks to the concerted efforts of both sides, ASEAN-China cooperation has registered gratifying outcome, with China being ASEAN’s largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years and the Belt and Road cooperation between ASEAN and China bearing rich fruits. Looking ahead, the completion of ASEAN Community Vision 2025 next year will usher in a new era both for the building of ASEAN Community and the growth of ASEAN-China relations. ASEAN will further align the Master Plan for ASEAN Connectivity and China’s Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen sub-regional mechanisms such as Lancang-Mekong Cooperation and BIMP-EAGA, and open up new domains for cooperation in emerging industries. The ASEAN-China Week (ACW) 2023 sponsored by the ACC turned out to be a great success and ASEAN Secretariat looks forward to another productive ACW event in the upcoming August. Kao reiterated the full support from himself and the Secretariat to the ACC in its future endeavors, in the purpose of securing a sound and steady development of ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
高金洪赞赏中心自成立以来为推动东盟中国关系发展做出的重要贡献，表示发展同中国关系始终是东盟优先事项。在双方共同努力下，东盟中国合作硕果累累，中国连续15年成为东盟最大贸易伙伴，东盟中国“一带一路”合作成果斐然。明年将是《东盟共同体愿景2025》收官之年，着眼后2025时期，东盟共同体建设进程和东盟中国关系发展都将迈入新阶段。期待双方继续深入对接东盟互联互通总体规划和中国“一带一路”倡议，做强澜湄、东增区等次区域合作机制，打造双方在新兴领域合作新高地。中心去年起主办的中国—东盟周系列活动颇具规模，反响良好，预祝该项目今年继续办出档次、办出成效。高强调其本人和东盟秘书处将一如既往支持中心工作，为东盟中国全面战略伙伴关系行稳致远增添助力。
