New polling from The Wall Street Journal shows that Vice President Kamala Harris is closing in on former President Donald Trump. And it is my intention to go out and earn this nomination, and to win. She's essentially erased Donald Trump's lead that he had over Biden when he was at the top of the ticket. It wasn't just that voters out there had concerns about the Democratic party's policies or how Joe Biden had governed over the past couple of years; in fact, there were very specific concerns about him and his perceived fitness for office based on his age. With Kamala Harris on the ticket, we can see that there are at least some voters out there who within a very short amount of time are now willing to consider voting for the Democratic party and putting a Democrat in the White House when just a week ago they were not. Here are the major takeaways from the poll.
The majority of people say they are more motivated to vote with Harris stepping in as a likely nominee.
