What can I say? The view of one silhouette standing at a cave opening, overlooking a vast expanse of green rolling mountains under a clear blue sky is so poignant and powerful at the same time. That’s the view he sees and that’s what he hopes every one of us can see — standing on our own lookout point under the same clear blue sky commanding a majestic view of our own.

I seldom use American interjection but when I first saw this cover, my mind can only think of HOT DAMN!! 🥵

Day 17 Favourite Vlog:
It has to be the latest 边·界!
I did not comment on it when the vlog first came out. Here’s my two cents:
肖战’s artistry is second to none among today’s top celebrities. There may be a lot of other equally talented and creative artistes in the global arena but not many of them would put in such much effort and dedication in a simple vlog that is not part of their regular or official portfolios. **This would be different of course if their main income is from generating interesting vlogs on YouTube or any social media platform.** But our dear 肖战 did it for free as his ways of sharing his thoughts or interesting encounters with us.

This Vlog is not just a continuation but also the culmination of the first “Border” Vlog. It not just carries 肖战’s wishes for us, but most of all, his views on life, the people and the world we live in. All these are cleverly interspersed in one short travel video. There are so many beautiful messages conveyed here but one particular message hits home hard for me and that is ‘self-acceptance’. I’ve spent years of therapies and counselling battling my depression trying not to feel inferior but most of all, not to be influenced to even feel that way. I think this inferiority complex affects more people than we can imagine.

This is also where 肖战 stands out from the rest because he’s totally comfortable in his own skin. He’s confident about what he can do and what he is, at the same time, he accepts what he is not and works on what he cannot do. So often, we’re stuck in our own self-created pit, unable to see the light, but here 肖战 reminds us that light does not always travel in a straight line. It can bend if we put a barrier before it or it can be manipulated to our advantage.
