Many husbands buy their wives a watch, but Peter Lee had something more personal and permanent in mind when he went to his Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique in Hong Kong. He had just spent days perfecting a poem to his wife, Yin Sze, to mark their tenth anniversary, and he wanted it to be engraved in its entirety on the case of a Reverso. 'Chinese poems are typically written vertically in columns going from top to bottom and ordered from right to left. The poem's translation in English is:"It is my honour to have you as my wife, I love your kindness, our lonely single days are at an end, and we shall live happily together ever after". There are also two hidden messages within the poem: when read horizontally from left to right, the top row says "love you forever", and the bottom row says "Yin Sze, the wonderful wife"".
