一年一度荷蘭狄更斯節正式登場，一個只有10萬人口的城市-Deventer，每年有兩天會變身成爲英國作家狄更斯作品當中的場景。
每年聖誕節前夕，人們都在這裡舉辦狄更斯節。老城居民們將自己裝扮成狄更斯筆下的經典的人物形象，在古老的石板街頭再現維多利亞時期的社會場景！
活動一般是在聖誕節前，一個週末為期兩天的時間，雖然不收費，但需要排隊，主辦方也會告訴你，大概的排隊時間是2小時，加上荷蘭天氣比較寒冷，大概在1度上下，還有間歇小雨，所以好走的鞋子以及保暖非常重要，最重要的是，如果你想拍到好照片，千萬別忘了準備一套“戲服”，讓你分分鐘成為矚目焦點。
