Was fighter Kwok Wah Kiang from the Mi Tzung Lo Han Club and employed as a firefighter? He was a student of Sifu Ma Chi Hung at the Jing Wu School on Nathan Road in Kowloon.
This was one of the bouts of the "WKA vs Hong Kong" challenge, held on April 7th and 9th, 1981, in Hong Kong.
It was KWOK Wah Kiang (Hong Kong) vs Frank Holloway (WKA-U.S.).
This event was requested by WKA. The WKA (World Karate Association) team was lead by Benny Urquidez and Don Wilson.
As there was no kickboxing association in Hong Kong at that time, an Ad-hoc group was gathered to recuit the fighters. Two fighters came forward to fight Benny Urquidez, the one selected was KONG Fu-Tak, an overseas Chinese from the U.K.. The biggest problem encountered was that most of Hong Kong fighters were too light to match-up with the WKA fighters. As a result, some of the bouts were between WKA fighters.
In the bout between Benny Urquidez and KONG Fu-Tak, after being dominated by Benny for 4 rounds, KONG did not continue due to a severe cut beside his eye.
Benny Urquidez also did an exhibition fight with Dennis Crawford (WKA Canada). http://t.cn/A6uvklPZ
