【Emirates Shipping Line Hong Kong Office Grand Opening】
ESL是一间总部设于阿联酋杜拜的班轮公司，在全球29个国家设有办事处。ESL早前在香港湾仔的办事处正式开幕，引证国际航运界对香港这个国际航运中心的信心，让本港与全球海运业界的联系更紧密。

振新副局与海运及港口发展专员Amy出席了ESL香港办事处开幕礼，见证来自中东的朋友在香港落户。振新副局致辞时感谢ESL去年12月在香港海运港口局代表团出访中东之行的热情接待，亦十分期待ESL为香港海运界带来的创新解决方案及服务。

振新副局致辞时亦简介了香港海运服务的最新发展，包括会革新现时的香港海运港口局，成为香港海运港口发展局；优化过去数年推出的一系列向海运业提供的税务优惠措施，及研究为大宗商品贸易商提供税务优惠等。

ESL is a shipping company headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with offices in 29 countries worldwide. Recently, ESL officially opened its office in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, signifying the confidence of the international shipping community towards Hong Kong’s strength as an international maritime centre and strengthening Hong Kong’s connections with the global maritime industry.
The Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Liu Chun-san, along with the Commissioner for Maritime and Port Development, Miss Amy Chan, attended the grand opening of the ESL Hong Kong office, witnessing the arrival of friends from the Middle East in Hong Kong. During his speech, Mr Liu expressed his gratitude for the warm reception received from ESL during the Hong Kong delegation’s visit to the Middle East in December last year, which comprised members of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board. He also shared his anticipation for the innovative solutions and services that ESL will bring to Hong Kong's maritime community.
In his speech, Mr Liu also introduced the latest developments in Hong Kong's maritime services, including plans to reconstitute the existing Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board into the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board, enhancement of tax incentives introduced by the Government in recent years to support the shipping industry, and explore the introduction of tax concessions for the commodity trading business.
