“Dawn Upon the Roots‌”
(Qingming Festival Meditation)

Night's ink dissolves,
Countless embryonic eyes stir in hidden depths.
Lingering shadows sway, their tattered hems unrolled,
While sleeves of jade still cradle sleepless green—
What cosmic waltzes have these leaves endured,
What last embraces severed by the wind's decree,
To elevate spring's golden promise?

I read these falling palm-lines whirling down,
No autumn's requiem whispers here,
But ten thousand celadon banners unfurling eastward,
Fluttering sutras
Illumined by dawn's first gilded breath.

Behold!
New boughs unwrap jade-swaddled tomorrows,
Budding fists clutch encrypted ancestral letters,
Each chlorophyll thread drinks
From mist-loomed cocoons,
Sucking photons' sacred milk,
Stretching toward celestial vaults
To cast luminous glyphs—
While roots beneath
Compile eternity's rings.
