古台摇落后，秋入望乡心。
野寺来人少，云峰隔水深。
夕阳依旧垒，寒磬满空林。
惆怅南朝事，长江独至今。

The ancient fortress has fallen apart;
Autumn penetrates my nostalgic heart.

To the remote temple pilgrims are few,
With mountains and water hard to get through.

The setting sun leans on the old fort stone;
The empty forest is chilled with chime tone.

Over the South Dynasty I lament;
Alone the River flows to the present.

Dismissed to a home with no old estate,
Aged though, you still miss affairs of the state.

The borders were calm when you stood upright;
Your sword has known your death-defying might.

Now on the vast waters of River Han,
Where are you bound for in the setting sun?
