【Logistics Company Visit Highlights｜Introducing the Logistics Industry to Younger Generation】
为广纳人材及推动物流业的发展，运输及物流局已于今年三月为中小学生制订「校本物流课程」，透过专题教材套、学校讲座以及安排学生实地参观物流企业，让年青人从小在不同方面加深对现代物流业的认识，培养他们对投身物流业的兴趣。

香海正觉莲社佛教正觉中学同学在6月25日走访现代货箱码头有限公司(MTL)位于青衣九号码头的办公室，成为课程启动后，第一所实地参观物流企业的学校。透过这次参观，学生得以了解货箱码头的日常运作和配套设施，并从物流从业员身上获得宝贵的职场分享。

To attract talent and promote the development of the logistics industry, the Transport and Logistics Bureau launched a school-based logistics curriculum in March this year for primary and secondary school students, which aims to enhance young people’s understanding of the modern logistics industry since young through thematic teaching kits, school talks and visits to logistics enterprises, thereby cultivating their interest in joining the logistics industry.

Students from Heung Hoi Ching Kok Lin Association (HHCKLA) Buddhist Ching Kok Secondary School, being the first school received by the logistics enterprise under the curriculum, visited the office of Modern Terminals Limited (MTL) at Terminal 9 in Tsing Yi on 25 June. Through the visit, students learned about the daily operations and facilities of container terminals, and also gained valuable workplace insights shared by industry practitioners.

Applications for the activities under the curriculum, no matter thematic teaching kits, school talks and visits to logistics enterprises, are open year-round. Schools are welcome to scan the QR code in the video to access the handbook for the curriculum for information on all the activities in the curriculum. Schools may also obtain application forms via the hyperlink of the curriculum and submit the applications to the Transport and Logistics Bureau for arrangement of the preferred activities.
