【香港海运周推动香港航运迈向新里程】
香港海运周踏入第三天,亮点包括首次在香港举行的国际燃料工业协会年度大会,与香港打造绿色船用燃料加注中心,构建一条龙的产业圈理念不谋而合。第二个活动为大湾区国际航运论坛,活动充分体现香港在大湾区航运发展中扮演的重要角色。
Mable局长在国际燃料工业协会年度大会上,感谢协会选择在香港首次主办这项旗舰活动,向国际航运界阐述我们在过去几年在推动香港成为绿色船用燃料加注中心的努力,强调建造绿色港口的重要性。她亦在活动上宣布成立「绿色船用燃料发展交流平台」,透过业界持份者的交流与合作,加速绿色船用燃料加注供应链在香港建立,推动香港发展成为绿色船用燃料的加注及交易中心。
在大湾区国际航运论坛上,Mable局长与一众业界翘楚见证香港船东会宣布成立「海运人才培育联盟」,致力加强海事教育与业界实践的连结,培育具备国际视野的新一代海事人才。她表示,香港将继续发挥「超级联系人」的角色,凭借自由港的优势和高效运作,连接内地与世界。
Mable局长、常任秘书长Vic及海运及港口发展专员Amy晚上一同出席香港船东会酒会,航运界一众女将与局长一起拍照留念,充分展现香港航运发展的「soft power」。
【Hong Kong Maritime Week Drives Hong Kong Shipping Towards New Heights】
The Hong Kong Maritime Week enters its third day of event, with the first ever International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) Annual Convention and the Greater Bay Area Maritime Forum as one of the highlights, echoing Hong Kong’s determination in being the one-stop green maritime fuel bunkering centre. Another highlight, the Greater Bay Area Maritime Forum showcases Hong Kong’s unique and significant role in the area.
Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms Mable Chan, thanked the IBIA Annual Convention for choosing Hong Kong to host this flagship event for the very first time and highlighted Hong Kong’s efforts over the past few years to position itself as a green marine fuel bunkering hub, stressing the importance of building a green port. She also announced the establishment of the “Green Maritime Fuel Development Communication Platform,” which will foster collaboration among stakeholders, catalyse the development of a green marine fuel bunkering supply chain in Hong Kong, and promote the city’s growth into a hub for green marine fuel bunkering and trading.
At the Greater Bay Area International Maritime Forum, Secretary Mable joined industry leaders to witness the Hong Kong Shipowners Association’s announcement of the “Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance.” The Alliance aims to strengthen the link between maritime education and industry practice, nurturing a new generation of maritime professionals with global vision. She emphasized that Hong Kong will continue to play the role of a “super connector,” leveraging its advantages as a free port and its operational efficiency to connect Chinese Mainland and the world.
Today’s programme ended with cheerful faces at the Hong Kong Shipowners Association Cocktail Reception, where the Permanent Secretary, Vic and the Commissioner for Maritime and Port Development, Amy also present. Secretary Mable posed in a photo with all the female practitioners at the cocktail which showcases the soft power of the maritime industry.
