*Cited from Within Itself* 并非为线性阅读而设计，更接近一台“重组时间”的装置。书中内容不断进行自我引用与自我打断，将记忆折叠进循环与绕行之中。它没有单一的入口，每一次阅读都生成一条新的路径与结构。你的阅读并非被动接受，而是一种主动建构的行为，一种生成性的行为，在进行的当下创造出一个此前并不存在的“现在”。作品不仅提出“书是什么”的问题，同时提出“阅读在做什么”——读者的选择、移动和注意力如何成为时间本身的轴心，每一次阅读行为都在现场生成一个新的“现在”。

This thesis book does not simply ask what a book is, but what reading does—how the reader’s choices, movement, and attention become the axis of time itself. To read it is to activate a present that didn’t exist before.
