当被问及近期关于安东尼·戴维斯回归大前锋位置的发言时，贾森·基德表示：

“我只是说我们可以考虑这个方案，并非要立即执行，只是提供不同的选择，让加福能获得更多一点上场时间。因为当AD打中锋时，会限制加福的出场时间。这会直接导致他上场时间缩减到15到17分钟。从阵容构建角度考虑，必须在比赛某个阶段让他回归四号位，才能让更多球员获得出场机会。但以我们目前的阵容配置，AD必须打中锋。这才是我们获胜的最佳选择。"

“I just said that we can look at it, not get back to it soon, just giving different options that we have to give Gaff a little bit more time on the floor. Because with AD at the five, it limits Gaff’s time. It’s gonna automatically knock him down to 15 to 17 minutes, so looking at the roster, to build a roster, you’ve gotta get him back to the four at some point in the game to give guys more time on the floor. But with the way we’re built right now, AD’s got to play the five. That gives us the best chance to win.”

On Davis and Daniel Gafford’s time together on the floor last night:

“Yeah, we’ll test it. It was tested, it failed the test last night, both offensively and defensively. We didn’t get any stops with the bigger lineup and we didn’t score.
