Our lives are built from moments. Moments that lift us, break us, confuse us, and sometimes feel like magic when everything aligns. Moments within our control—and moments so far beyond it that they force us to question everything. These moments make us human. They make us vulnerable. They connect us… and they shape who we become.

To say I’m heartbroken right now is an understatement. I feel lost, disoriented, replaying every decision, searching for answers that don’t exist. The pain feels unreal—like I’m watching my own life from the outside.

But every moment this sport has given me—every high, every low, every experience, every person I’ve met through and because of it—has shaped me into the athlete and person I am today. This past weekend is part of that story, even if I don’t understand it and may never be able to. I would give anything to press rewind, but that’s not how life works.

What is within my control is what I choose to do next—how I rise, how I move forward, and who I become because of all the moments that have lead me to right here, right now. So that is what I’m going to do. Pick myself up and take the next steps.
