They were astonished further still when the identity of the tomb's owner emerged: Fu Hao, the most beloved wife of King Wu Ding of the Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BCE), the second dynasty in Chinese history that has left its traces on numerous pieces of oracle bones and shells.
