They were astonished further still when the identity of the tomb's owner emerged: Fu Hao, the most beloved wife of King Wu Ding of the Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BCE), the second dynasty in Chinese history that has left its traces on numerous pieces of oracle bones and shells. From the decoded records, historians know that she was not a queen who would sit idly in the depths of her palace. Her heart was set on sword and horseback. So, what exactly is her story?
