My hometown plant Cat's claw everywhere.
Cat's Claw is an evergreen climbing plant. Because the hooks on its branches resemble cat's claws, it is called "Uña de Gato" (meaning "cat's claw") in the Americas. It belongs to the Rubiaceae family, is a climbing shrub, and can reach up to 10 meters in height. The stems and branches are cylindrical or nearly square-columnar with fine longitudinal lines. Nodes bear downward-curving double or single hooks, with leaf scar marks below the hooks. The texture is hard, and the cross-section of the stem shows a
yellowish-white pith.
