Dr. Nicholas Mueller, DMD, from Triangle Implant Center Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, teamed up with Dr. Brandon Kofford, DMD, MS, FACP, from Cary Prosthodontics to perform another amazing guided full-arch surgery with guided conversion.
The main challenge was that the lower implants were already placed and ready for the final restoration. However, we had to reset the teeth in space to achieve ideal esthetics for the patient. Since the lower was designed as "ready-to-screw-in," the design of the upper prosthesis required perfect occlusion against the lower.
When it comes to guided conversion, the main disadvantage is that we don’t have the chance to check the bite before the pickup.

Thanks to the accurate execution by Dr. Mueller, a guided approach can yield a prosthesis with perfect occlusion right after surgery—even when the opposing arch offers no wiggle room at all.
