l am truly honored that I was able to wear the national team uniforms of two countries and take part in the competition. For me, being positioned between these two nations carries a very special meaning.
I recognize that the relationship between Japan and China is currently not in a good state-one could even say it is at a low point. When I thought about what I could do through the stage of the Olympics, I felt that I wanted to deliver some positive news to both countries and help improve relations between Japan and China, even it only a little.
In Slopestyle, we were able to achieve the best possible results. After that, the reactions from both countries were filled with very positive coverage. Through the lens of my role, I received many messages about what true friendship between Japan and China should look like. That made me truly happy.
We have finally managed to climb one step of the staircase.
What matters most is what comes next.
The Olympics are a celebration of peace.🌏❄️

2つの国の代表ユニフォームを着てオリンピックに参加できた事を本当に光栄に思います。自分にとって、この2国間の間にいるという事が何より意味があります。日本と中国の関係は今どん底といっても良いくらい、良くない状態と認識しています。オリンピックという舞台を通して自分に何ができるかを考えた時に、やはり日中間の関係が少しでも良くなるように、良いニュースを両国に届けたかった。
Slope Styleで我々は最高の結果を出せました。その後の両国間での反響は非常にポジティブな報道で溢れました。日中友好とはこうあるべきだというメッセージを沢山いただけました。本当に嬉しかったです。
我々はやっと階段を一段上がれました。大切なのはこれからだと思います。
