Tonight I walked along the shoreline, the moon suspended above the ocean like a quiet guardian of the night.
The waves shimmered with silver light, and in that peaceful moment I captured a photo and wrote two simple words across it:
fall in love.
Not because love was standing before me…
but because the night itself felt like a reminder that such beauty must exist somewhere in the world.
As I edited the photo, a dear friend leaned over my shoulder and laughed softly.
“The author should take her own advice,” she said.
I smiled and answered without hesitation:
“Find me someone worthy, and I will.”
But worthy means something very simple and very rare.
A man with loyalty.
A mind that actually thinks.
A heart grounded in humility, kindness, and compassion.
A man whose word carries weight—like the gentlemen of another era.
Someone dependable… someone who stands beside you when the storm arrives, not someone you must carry through it.
She laughed and wished me luck.
I simply looked back toward the moonlit ocean and said,
“In this lifetime, I don’t mind walking alone.
It is far better than sharing your path with someone pretending to be what they are not.”
And then suddenly I laughed to myself.
Here I am questioning Han Li’s guarded heart,
when perhaps… we share the same understanding of love.
The universe has a strange sense of humor. ✨🌙🌊
