(March 24, 2026) - Flea was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform his take on Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You," from his upcoming debut solo album, Honora, out this Friday. Led by Flea’s electric bass and trumpet, the song features upright bass from Anna Butterss and strings arranged and orchestrated by Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes). Flea also joined Fallon on the couch to discuss the new album and come clean on the recent accident that led to the bandage on his forehead. You can watch the conversation and the performance, with musicians from the album—Butterss, guitarist Jeff Parker, drummer Deantoni Parks, and producer Josh Johnson on keyboard—and strings below.

For his first full-length solo album, Honora—which takes its name from a beloved family member—Flea composed and arranged the music, and also plays trumpet and bass throughout, joined by an elite crew of modern jazz visionaries: Johnson, Parker, Butterss, and Parks. The record features vocals from Flea, as well as friends Thom Yorke and Nick Cave. Mauro Refosco and Nate Walcott, among others, also join the band. Honora comprises six original songs, plus interpretations of tunes by George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell.
