孙大量
1971年生于徐州，现工作生活于南京。孙大量的作品展现与表达了自我对于“意象”的处理及理解。艺术家孙大量作为一位风格独具的画家，以“玄思”为意象并用朴拙、直接的绘画语言把日常形象、心理意象以及符号图像于荒诞情景中奇妙地贯通在一起，让观众进入到一场精神分析下的自我遭遇。孙大量的作品不管是直接描绘“性”，还是把“性”投射到人物与静物上，他的画面总是一副“羞怯”的表情，造型一直在细节上含糊其辞，笔触始终在吞吞吐吐，色彩也大都是点到为止的。但这些绘画语言上的节制是恰当而精确的，因为这最大程度地把观众的注意力集中到了形象本身，而不是画面涂抹上。语言的节制、背景的抽象、形象的明确以及主题的鲜明，他的绘画由此获得了一种寓言般的文体。这些意象是心理的，更是精神的，它们从超现实主义的美学跳出，指向了哲学意义上的荒诞。
Sun Daliang
Born in Xuzhou in 1971, currently living and working in Nanjing.His worksexpress his own understanding of “image”. As a unique artist, Sun creates more and more “suspended thoughts” in works which like a kind of “fairy tale”. He used the simple and direct painting method to fuse all three components: daily figure, psychological image, and symbolic icon together to allow viewers to psychoanalyze their own personal experience. Regardless of the artist’s literal depiction of “sexuality” or projection onto the figures and objects in his paintings, his images often reveal an expression of diffidence, where the compositions are evasive and brushwork abashed, his use of colors concise. Although these self-imposed refrains in the language of the painting are propriate and accurate, which draw the viewer‘s attention to the subjects, rather than the painted surface. He used economical language, abstract context, distinct forms, earns his painting a prophetic discourse. Instead of considering these images as psychological, it makes more sense to think of them as spiritual for they have jumped out of the surrealist aesthetics, and imply for absurdity in the philosophical sense.
