According to Iranian military officials, a Boeing A-3 Sentry, or the US operational AWACS, and several other refueling aircraft were destroyed in the attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
The aircraft's number is visible in the photos.
A review of the flights shows that up to six AWACS had been dispatched to Prince Sultan Air Base before the attack.
