How to Fix Guided Sleeve Interference with Soft Tissue & Bone using DAS Guided Kit?

You’ve finished your wax-up and bone evaluation, and the implant position looks perfect. But as you move into the surgical guide design, a common issue arises: the guided sleeve hits the soft tissue or bone.
The Problem: When the sleeve is too deep, there isn't enough resin material to hold it securely. This weakens the guide and increases the risk of it breaking during surgery. Even you could still fabricate the guide, to sit the surgical guide in the patient’s mount becomes another challenge.
The Solution: There are several ways to address this, but the easiest method I’ve found is where the DAS Guided Kit really shines.
The DAS system offers incredible planning freedom. You can simply raise the sleeve (increase the offset) until it clears the soft tissue. While a raised sleeve usually makes it difficult to achieve fully-guided depth, DAS solves this with their specific drilling protocols and implant mounts.
By adjusting the drilling depth and using the corresponding implant mount offsets, you keep the freedom to raise the sleeve without sacrificing the precision of your original plan.
