《On definition of Philosophy and Why the work of Kant and Heidegger is difficult to be understood》
[Philosophy is about love of wisdom, but what is wisdom in itself? To me, to understand change and variation is what wisdom is really about. So, here is my definition of philosophy and my life long study of philosophy is in pursuit of philosiphy according to this definition.]
Philosophy is a study of variations, in particular, the predictability of variations. Variations fall within three groups of predictability: (1) completely predictable phenomenon; (2) statistically predictable phenomenon; (3) unpredictable phenomenon (metaphysical).

(1) Completely predictable phenomenon: This group includes studies of formal mathematical structure, deductive scientific discovery and all biological heteronomous activities.
(2) Statistically predictable phenomenon: This group includes studies of applicational mathematics, inductive scientific research, game theory, history and all biological activities which are partially autonomous.
(3) Unpredictable phenomenon (metaphysical): This group includes studies of theology, ontology, literature, poet, art and all biological activities which are completely autonomous.

Unfortunately, modern study of philosophy is generally given a very restricted definition covers mainly a direct study on the third group i.e. unpredictable phenomenon (metaphysical). As a result, the works of great philosophers could hardly be comprehended by those who only study philosophy in the modern sense. In fact, the works of great philodophers on unpredictable phenomenon (metaphysical) could only be understood as the counterpart of predictable phenomenon i.e. the first two groups.

All great philosophers are helping us to push our understanding of phenomenon to its ultimate boundary with the hope that we could touch the noumenon. The pre-requisite is that we have to first fully understand the phenomenon and its boundary. The noumenon could only be touched and revealed side by side on the boundary of phenomenon. Noumenon is not something we could touch directly without phenomenon. So, never try to understand the work of Kant and Heidegger directly. Their works can only be understood indirectly by reference to this question: “What is not true (or missing) in the objective truth which we have learned on observing the phenomenon?”
