Ambassador Khalil Hashmi attended the premiere of The Legend of Maula Jatt in Beijing, marking a historic moment for the Pakistan-China film industry as Pakistani cinema reaches Chinese audiences on a revenue-sharing basis for the very first time.
From 21 May 2026, as Pakistan and China celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, cinemas across China will showcase this blockbuster — a proud milestone for Pakistan’s film industry.
Ambassador Hashmi extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Bilal Lashari and Mr. Nadeem Mandviwala on this landmark achievement. The release follows the Film Co-Production Agreement signed in June 2024 between Pakistan’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the China Film Administration. 🇵🇰🇨🇳🎬
