我在加州生活了10年（2014—2024）。在那里生活的那段时间里，我经历过人生中最美好的日子，也经历过最糟糕的日子，而这首歌讲的正是这些经历。
2020年，当我开车去录音室见 Ryan Tedder 的路上，我给他发了一段语音备忘录，对他说：“我想写一首像‘皮条客音乐剧（pimp musical）’一样的歌，想象一下三件套西装、手杖、厚重的鼓点。”然后我还对着手机哼出了旋律。
当我到达录音室时，Ryan 已经开始制作伴奏了，我们很快就把这首歌写了出来。这是整张专辑里我最喜欢的歌曲之一，也是我最喜欢现场演唱的歌曲之一。所以我真的很想为它拍摄一个视觉作品。
没有什么特别华丽的东西，只是我在洛杉矶做我自己，出现在一些非常具有洛杉矶特色的地方。2025年6月，在接受乳腺癌手术之前，我专门飞到洛杉矶待了48小时完成拍摄。而剪辑这支视频则花了我整整一年时间。不过，这就是人生，不是吗？起起落落，总要经历……

I lived in California for 10 years (2014–2024). I had some of my best days and some of my worst days while living there, and that’s what this song is about.
In 2020, while driving to the studio to meet Ryan Tedder, I sent him a voice note and said, “I want to write a song that’s like a pimp musical — imagine a three-piece suit, a cane, and heavy drums,” and I hummed the melody down the phone.
When I got to the studio, Ryan was already working on the track, and we wrote the song very quickly. It’s one of my favorite songs on the album and one of my favorite songs to perform live. So I really wanted to create a visual for it.
Nothing too fancy — just me being me in LA, in some very LA places. I flew to Los Angeles for 48 hours right before my breast cancer surgery in June 2025, and it has taken me a year to edit this video. But that’s life, right? You ride the ups and downs…
