NOBODY TOLD YOU:

Your grandmother used enamel.
Ceramic.
Glass.

She did not know the science.

She just knew plastic was not supposed to hold hot food.

She was right.

That plastic container you use for your soup, the one you heat in the microwave every afternoon, it is feeding you.

Not food.

Chemicals.

When plastic gets hot, it breaks down.

The chemicals that make it flexible, clear, colourful, they move.

Into your food.
Into the stew.
Into the rice.
Into the soup you are about to give your child.

You cannot see it.
You cannot taste it.

But your body is keeping it.

These chemicals interfere with hormones.
Disrupt the thyroid.
Affect the reproductive system.

And they do not leave quickly.

They build.

Every reheating.
Every container.
Every time you said, “it is just plastic.”

Same thing in Lagos.
Same thing in London.
Same thing in Houston.
Same thing in Toronto.

Plastic does not adjust for location.

You would not pour chemicals into your food.

But you will heat your food inside something that releases them.

Same outcome.

So before you focus only on what is on your plate, look at what is holding it.

Because your body is responding to that too. @g_diets_
