在纳伦德拉・莫迪总理的领导下，印度联邦内阁已批准四项铁路多线建设项目，覆盖西孟加拉邦、奥里萨邦、泰米尔纳德邦、安得拉邦共 8 个地区，项目预估耗资 945 亿卢比(～10亿美元），计划于 2030～2031 年前完工。

➡️ 该项目将新增 410 公里铁路路网，能够大幅提升通行输送能力，改善印度铁路的运营效率与服务稳定性。

➡️ 项目还将带来每年 7600 万吨的新增货运量，助力实现气候目标、降低全国物流成本；预计可减少约1.3亿升石油进口，并减少约6.5亿公斤二氧化碳排放。

Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved four multitracking projects covering eight districts in West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, at an estimated cost of Rs. 9,450 crore, to be completed up to 2030-31. 

➡️ This 410 kms railway network increase will significantly enhance mobility, resulting in improved operational efficiency & service reliability for Indian Railways.

➡️ It will also result in additional freight traffic of magnitude 76 MTPA, help both in achieving climate goals and minimizing logistics cost of the country, reduce oil import by approx. 13 cr litres and lower CO2 emissions by approx. 65 cr kg.
