#端午全国口岸将迎出入境客流高峰##上半年的最后一个假期要来了##这个端午港澳游热度攀升#【Cross-border travel surge expected during Dragon Boat Festival holiday】China's ports are expected to handle an average of 2.2 million inbound and outbound passenger trips per day during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday, from June 19 to June 21, marking an 11.7 percent increase from the same period last year, according to the National Immigration Administration (NIA) on June 16. The daily peak is forecast to exceed 2.35 million trips.

Major international airports are expected to see slight increases in passenger flows. Shanghai Pudong International Airport is forecast to handle an average of 104,000 trips per day, while Beijing Capital International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangdong province are each expected to handle 52,000 trips per day. Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in Guangdong is expected to handle 21,000 trips per day, while Beijing Daxing International Airport and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in Sichuan province are forecast to handle 19,000 and 17,000 trips per day, respectively.

Passenger flows at land ports neighboring Hong Kong and Macao are expected to increase significantly during the holiday, as dragon boat races and other major events will be held in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, while cross-border tourism and family visits are also expected to rise.

The NIA has made special arrangements for border inspection work during the holiday, requiring authorities nationwide to strengthen monitoring of passenger flows, conduct accurate assessments of port traffic, and issue timely peak-flow alerts to help travelers plan their trips. The administration also reminded Chinese and foreign travelers to check port traffic and clearance conditions before departure and ensure their travel documents and visas remain valid.

Chinese citizens traveling overseas should learn about the safety conditions and entry policies of their destinations in advance and avoid countries and regions with risks of Ebola virus disease outbreaks, the administration said.
