应东盟同仁邀请，总领事荣幸出席第 28 届上海国际电影节，参与东盟影片回顾展启动仪式。上一届（第 27 届）电影节曾集中展映推广 6 部印度影片，规模空前，其中便包含经过数字修复的宝莱坞经典影片《流浪者》。

印度电影在上海国际电影节及配套系列活动中长期占据亮眼席位：多部获奖影片参展、印度影人出任电影节评委、专属影展单元常态化设立，足见印度电影在全球范围内拥有庞大受众与极高人气。

本周交流期间，总领事着重指出，印度影片在亚太地区经久不衰，是搭建沟通桥梁、增进彼此理解与友好情谊的重要载体。

活动间隙，总领事还会晤了前美国驻沪总领事、上海美国商会会长肯・贾勒特先生，双方围绕印度信息、通信与文娱产业全球影响力持续提升展开交流，探讨全产业链下跨国文旅出行、科技合作、旅游产业拓展的广阔国际机遇🌎 ⛓️‍💥💫🌅

Consul General was honoured to participate in the 28th #ShanghaiInternationalMovieFestival# at the invitation of #ASEAN# colleagues to celebrate the launch of their movies retrospective, following in the footsteps of the unprecedented 6 Indian movies celebrated and promoted in the 27th edition of the festival, including a digitally enhanced version of Bollywood classic #AWAARA#.

➡️ Indian cinema maintains a strong presence at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and associated events, highlighted by award-winning films, jury participation, and dedicated showcases, reflecting the immense global popularity of Indian cinema.

➡️ In his interactions this week, Consul General underlined the abiding popularity of 🇮🇳 movies in the region and their significance in building #strongbridges of mutual understanding and friendship.

➡️ On the sidelines, CG was also happy to meet former US CG and President of AMCham Mr. Ken Jarrett to discuss the increasing global footprint of Indian I-C-E (Information, Communications and Entertainment) industry and global opportunities for expanding travel, technology and tourism collaboration avenues across the industry value chain 🌎 ⛓️‍💥💫🌅
